* Check Membership Registration Status In accordance with Section 34(d) of the Political Parties Act (2011), alongside the Data Protection Act (2019) and the Access to Information Act (2016), political party membership registers are available for public review. Citizens may request access to these records provided they satisfy the established procedural requirements for verifying membership status.
To facilitate easy access, the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) provides the following verification channels:
Mobile USSD Service
Members of the public can instantly verify their political party affiliation via mobile phone. By dialing *509# on major mobile networks, users can check their registration status. While the service itself is provided at no extra cost by the ORPP, a standard carrier access fee (currently 1 KES) applies.
Online Management System
Individual membership data is accessible through the official Political Parties Management Information System (PPMIS) managed by the Registrar, as well as through the integrated Government digital portal (eCitizen).
Cost and Accessibility
Accessing membership information through the online portal is entirely free of charge, with users only responsible for their standard internet data costs. This digital infrastructure ensures transparency and empowers citizens to manage their political data securely and efficiently.
