Our Background

The Civic Progress Party (CIPA) is a political party established under the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and the Political Parties Act, 2011. The mandate of the party is to promote democratic governance, social justice, and inclusive economic progress for all Kenyans. The Act is our primary legal guide, ensuring we manage party affairs according to Articles 91 and 92 of the Constitution. This ensures CIPA remains a well-governed party that respects internal democracy and upholds its constitutional status in the Kenyan political system. CIPA is headed by the National Chairperson, supported by the National Executive Committee (NEC). Our structure includes directorates for Registration and Field Services, Legal and Compliance, and the National Elections Board, all working together to ensure a professional and transparent political movement.

Our History

The journey of the Civic Progress Party (CIPA) is born from a desire for genuine reform, emerging after years of public disillusionment with systems that failed to deliver on their promises. Our history is rooted in the need for ethical, people-centered leadership. We have evolved from a collective of concerned citizens into a structured framework designed to bridge the gap between policy and action, ensuring every Kenyan has a voice in our national renewal.
